Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the world. This for some people may be enough incentive to visit. Yet Ushuaia is unique and full of many things to see and do. Tierra del Fuego National Park is one of the main attractions, drawing people from all corners of the world.

:: The Beagle Channel: Ushuaia itself sits on the Beagle channel, where one can partake in a boat tour to watch sea lions, Magellan penguins, cormorants and other interesting sea birds.

:: End of the World Museum: It exhibits artifacts pertaining to the indigenous groups who once inhabited Tierra del Fuego.

:: Maritime Museum & Ushuaia's Old Prison: The former prison of Ushuaia was turned into a modern museum. Partly it is nowadays the Maritime Museum and in another part you will see the everyday life of the prisoners, some of their cells, etc.

:: Train of the End of the World: Currently used as a tourist train to get visitors to and from the entrance gate of Tierra del Fuego National Park. It was once used to transport convicts who were sent in and out of the forest to chop down firewood.

:: Tierra del Fuego National Park: The Park offers a beautiful view of the Beagle Channel and its surrounding mountainous islands. You can explore it on your own or take in activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, bird and beaver watching, canoeing and mountain biking.

:: Winter sports: There are a variety of different winter activities available in this area, such as Nordic and Alpine skiing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, ice skating, hiking with snowshoes, snowboarding and ice climbing. Have your pick! 

:: Martial Glacier: Take the chair lift or walk up to be rewarded by spectacular views of the southernmost tip of the earth.

:: Antarctic cruises: Throughout the months of November to March, different vessels armed with ice breakers and reinforced hulls leave the international port of Ushuaia on route to this fascinating and mysterious destination. You can enjoy either a luxury trip or one of the expedition-adventure trips.
