Posadas is the capital of the sub tropical Misiones province. Sat next alongside the Paraná river and opposite Paraguay, this city has hot, humid weather year round and is bathed with reddish earth and thick green vegetation.
This small town is the base for exploring the UNESCO Jesuit ruins: San Ignacio Mini, Santa Ana and Nuestra Señora de Loreto. The San Ignacio ruins are within walking distance and the 4000 year old settlement is full of history and intrigue.
Esteros del Iberá is one of those places that everyone wants to visit, but very few actually make it here, but its remoteness is what makes it such a special place. A prime spot for nature spotting, here you can do walks, horseback rides and boat tours.
